This has been a long time in the making and I haven't said anything about it because I didn't know if I could do it. Even if I could, would it be any good? That's where I need your help.
If you have a half hour to spare in the next week or two, can you please watch my film and give me some feedback? Your insights would be invaluable to me as I consider next steps.
The film is a short documentary about a local avant-music band that's been playing to smallish audiences at clubs and bars for over a decade. Then, they get a chance to do a show for over a thousand people.
If you choose to participate in this test screening, I would appreciate it if you could:
* View the film before Monday June 16.
* Do not make a copy of the film.
* Send me feedback. I'd like to know this:
What aspects of the film did you enjoy?
What aspects did you not enjoy?
Is it good enough to submit to a film festival?
If so, can you recommend any film festivals?
What device did you view it on (laptop, phone, TV, etc)?
What speakers did you listen to it on (headphones, hi-fi, device speakers, etc)?
Please note that there is a watermark visible in the first minute of this test screening copy, but it disappears shortly after.
If you would like to participate in this test screening, please send your email address to me at:
rick@rickrees.com
and put "Test Screening" in the subject. I will send you a private link to view the film. This test screening is open to anyone who wants to participate, so feel free to share this message.
Thank you so much for considering this!
